Our Ministries
Carmelite ministries meet the needs of the world and the Church by means of prayer, education, and community. Through parishes, shrines and schools, Carmelites serve in ways that build God's Kingdom.
Brothers & Priests
While all Carmelite Friars are brothers, some are called to ordained ministry. As brothers and priests, we achieve the apostolic mission of the Church through parish work, service to the faithful in churches, instruction of young people in schools and elsewhere, preaching of retreats, study, spiritual direction, guidance about spiritual problems, and other initiatives.
teachers
For centuries, Carmelites have been working as teachers in all levels of education from primary to higher education. Some Friars move on to the administrative level. Our Friars are certified in teaching Religion, Science, Chemistry, English and Math. Some Friars have a desire to have a secondary vocation which requires them to receive further training and certification to better serve the Church and world.
Chaplains
Carmelite chaplains provide spiritual guidance in convents, schools, hospitals, emergency services, and the military. Trained and certified, they offer pastoral care while sharing the values of the Order in service to God’s people.
Campus Ministers
Carmelite Friars serve in high schools and universities, offering spiritual guidance to students, faculty, and the wider community.
"Campus ministry is where commitment to Christ and care for the academic world meet in purposeful service to God's kingdom."

Spiritual Director
A trained Carmelite brother or priest offers confidential guidance to help individuals recognize God's presence and call in their lives. This ongoing relationship is both a personal journey and an encounter with God, cultivating spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with Him.
