Carmelites Plan New House of Studies
To Meet Rising Demands in Vietnam
|
Having served as Regional Superior and Formation Director in Vietnam for eight years, Fr. Mario Esposito, O. Carm., is acutely aware of the needs faced by the rapidly growing Carmelite community there.
"When we opened our first House in 1996, we could not imagine that we would outgrow it so quickly," Fr. Mario said.
Now back in the U.S., and having been elected Prior Provincial of St. Elias Province, Fr. Mario is leading a fund-raising campaign for the construction of a new House of Studies for student Friars in Vietnam.
"A steady increase in the number of men stepping forward to serve in Carmel has created a severe shortage of space for housing and education," Fr. Mario explained. "And we would hate to turn any of these men away from their calling."
Thanks to the generosity of you - our friends and benefactors - we have reached 75% of our goal of raising $100,000 to build, furnish and equip the new House of Studies.
However, we are still short of our goal, and if you have not made a gift as yet, we would be very happy to hear from you. You can make a contribution by filling in the form below, or by sending a check to the address at the top of this page.
We still have some memorial opportunities for this new House of Studies, and if you are interested in making a lasting gift to this great undertaking, please call us at 845-344-0876, weekdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Any gift you can make will be greatly appreciated!
